Job summary

PA Consulting is seeking a Solution Architect for the Energy & Utilities sector. You will lead architecture and engineering teams, shape strategic designs, and collaborate with clients to deliver complex, integrated solutions.

You will work in a hybrid model, spending time in client sites or offices, and have opportunities for training, certifications, and career progression within PA's technologist path.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading architecture and development teams delivering end-to-end solutions for complex client challenges.
• Strong understanding of Energy and Utilities sector with experience across water, gas, electricity, oil, gas or nuclear.
• Experience with enterprise systems (IBM Maximo, SAP, Billing, CRM) and operational systems (SCADA, control systems).
• Ability to shape and communicate architectural strategies across domains (application, business, integration).
• Skilled at building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translating technical insight into business value.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance at a programme level for Energy and Utilities architectural design.
• Create and assure key architecture artefacts (Design Documents, Options Papers, High Level Design).
• Collaborate with Engineering teams, taking a lead SME role to define vision and guardrails.
• Support senior leaders in shaping case for change with cost estimation and planning.
• Work with agile practices across multiple teams and client sites.
