Responsibilities
- Proactively self-generate new business leads through networking, referrals, and targeted prospecting.
- Manage and convert company-provided leads across domestic households, SMEs, and larger commercial clients.
- Conduct on-site and virtual consultations to assess energy needs, provide tailored renewable solutions, and present quotations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Provide informed advice on renewable energy solutions, including solar PV, efficient heating systems, insulation measures, and building fabric improvements.
- Translate technical features into clear customer benefits and financial returns (e.g., energy savings, carbon reduction, ROI).
- Collaborate with surveyors, installers, and engineers to ensure feasibility and accurate proposals.
- Represent the company at sales conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and local networking events.
- Stay updated on renewable technology trends, government incentives, and industry regulations to remain credible with clients.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets across domestic and commercial segments.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, appointments, and sales pipeline.
- Report on market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback to management.
KPIs
- Volume and conversion rate of self-generated and company-provided leads.
- Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Growth of personal and company presence in local networking and industry events.
- Customer satisfaction scores and repeat/referral business levels.
This is a client-facing position requiring strong technical understanding, persuasive communication, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and industry partners.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales – ideally within renewables, construction, or energy-related industries.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, heating systems, insulation, and building fabric performance.
- Confident in presenting technical information clearly to both domestic homeowners and commercial decision-makers.
- Self‑starter with the ability to generate leads and build networks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Comfortable attending events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and basic MS Office tools.
- Passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.
