Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support energy projects near Barry, targeting Aberthaw or Llandyfaelog. The role involves valuations, cost reporting, subcontract administration, and final accounts, with a client-co-located office in Bristol/Cardiff.

An HND/Degree in QS and active RICS/ICES registration or progression toward chartership are preferred, with a focus on NEC contract awareness and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Commercial awareness with cost control
• Experience in valuations and payment applications
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract and cost reporting

Responsibilities

• Assist in internal commercial reporting and client valuations
• Prepare valuations/payments with full documentation
• Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
• Administer subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Maintain change registers and contract administration processes
