Job summary

ICIS in London is seeking a Computational Energy Pricing Specialist to join our editorial and data science teams. You will combine energy market analysis, price reporting and data science to help assess European gas and power markets and support pricing methodologies.

You will develop Python applications to automate data gathering, quality checks and pricing workflows, while leading model maintenance and communicating methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python data-analysis libraries and building data pipelines.
• Ability to interrogate large datasets and identify market signals.
• Knowledge of energy markets and price reporting is desirable.
• Clear written and spoken English with good communication of technical concepts.
• Curious, collaborative and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess prices and explain market drivers across European energy markets.
• Contribute to timely market commentary and data-led analysis.
• Develop Python code and applications to automate data gathering and pricing workflows.
• Lead model maintenance, development and deployment of enhancements.
• Translate market expertise into model assumptions and communicate outputs to stakeholders.
