Job summary

Brook Green Supply is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to maximise realised portfolio profitability and explain performance. You will validate pricing assumptions, flag risks and provide data-driven recommendations to support commercial decisions.

The role partners with Portfolio Pricing, Governance, Sales, and Trading to drive optimisation, forecasting and risk management across wholesale energy markets. A strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate insights are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a numerical subject; STEM is desirable.
• Experience in analytical, commercial or portfolio-focused roles.
• Experience with large structured data sets and dashboards or reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with curiosity about performance movements.
• Clear communication and ability to turn analysis into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly portfolio profitability breakdowns by customer, product, channel, broker, industry, contract type, account manager, region and size; identify root causes of outliers.
• Develop hedge MtM and volume reporting with clear performance explanations and cost implications.
• Identify portfolio optimisation opportunities and rebasing needs.
• Maintain a commercial data layer for each contract covering commercial, performance and risk attributes.
• Produce monthly evidence-based recommendations for management.
• Track forecast accuracy across pricing, volume, hedge and demand.
