Qualifications

Energy Modeller

Liverpool

I am partnering with an established and innovative engineering consultancy that is widely recognised for its commitment to sustainable, low‑carbon building design. They are now looking to appoint a talented Energy Modeller to support their expanding project portfolio and contribute to the development of high‑performance, future‑ready buildings. Essential Criteria
  • Strong, demonstrable experience using IES VE for energy, loads and compliance modelling.
  • Proven background in conducting overheating assessments in line with TM52/TM59.
  • Hands‑on experience with net‑zero technologies, including heat pumps, MVHR, solar PV, high‑performance building fabrics and smart energy systems.
  • Ability to turn technical modelling outputs into clear, concise reports for design and client teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently across multiple projects.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with Part L / EPC modelling and regulatory submissions.
  • Broader dynamic thermal modelling capabilities, including natural ventilation studies, climate resilience assessments and optimisation modelling.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL or LETI.
  • Exposure to automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python) to streamline modelling workflows.
  • Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
