Chaucer in London is seeking an analyst to join the Exposure Management function, focusing on Energy & Marine exposures.

You will capture, cleanse and structure exposure data for modelling, monitor risk against appetite, and support underwriters with portfolio insights.

Qualifications

• Understanding of London re/insurance market.
• Experience in analytical or data-focused roles.
• Interest in natural catastrophe risks.
• Experience with datasets or structured research.
• Proactive data quality pursuit.

Responsibilities

• Capture, cleanse and structure Energy & Marine exposure data for aggregation and modelling.
• Review underwriting submissions and liaise with underwriters and brokers to obtain exposure data.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of exposure data used in modelling and reporting.
• Monitor portfolios against risk appetite measures.
• Produce management information, reports and analytical outputs to support underwriting decisions and portfolio management.
• Investigate data discrepancies and resolve data quality issues across systems.
• Assist in developing and enhancing processes, tools and methodologies for managing Energy & Marine exposures.
• Collaborate with underwriters to understand portfolios and evolving risk exposures.
• Support reporting requirements for internal stakeholders and committees.
