Client Strategy & Relationship Management
- Serve as the senior strategic advisor and primary liaison for Environ’s largest accounts, ensuring exceptional client experience and service delivery.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s energy and sustainability goals, identifying how Environ’s full suite of services can drive long‑term value.
- Lead strategic planning discussions and executive briefings, positioning Environ as a trusted partner in achieving the client’s vision.
- Structure and lead cross‑functional client meetings, ensuring alignment between client needs and Environ’s capabilities.
- Proactively identify and address risks, challenges, and opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and engagement.
Solution Integration & Service Delivery Coordination
- Own the end‑to‑end coordination of multiple services delivered to key accounts, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with client objectives.
- Work closely with Environ’s subject matter experts in procurement, energy management, compliance, and project development to craft integrated solutions tailored to each client.
- Bridge the gap between Environ’s internal teams, facilitating seamless collaboration and information flow.
- Identify synergies between services, ensuring an optimized approach that maximizes financial and operational benefits for the client.
Energy & Sustainability Program Oversight
- Ensure alignment of Environ’s energy procurement strategies with broader client sustainability and decarbonization goals.
- Oversee energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and compliance initiatives, tracking progress and ensuring measurable outcomes.
- Stay informed on evolving regulatory and market conditions, advising clients on strategic implications and mitigation strategies.
- Guide clients through the complexities of ESG reporting, compliance frameworks (e.g., Local Law 97, BERDO, Clean Energy DC), and emissions management.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Analyze client energy consumption, procurement costs, and sustainability metrics to provide actionable insights and optimizations.
- Deliver customized performance reports, executive dashboards, and strategy presentations.
- Ensure data integrity across all client accounts, leveraging Environ’s internal systems to track and report progress effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, energy management, sustainability, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in key account management, strategic consulting, or enterprise client engagement within the energy or sustainability sector.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and successfully integrating multiple service offerings.
- Strong leadership and consultative selling skills, with the ability to engage senior‑level stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of energy procurement, market dynamics, compliance regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
- Exceptional project management and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
- Experience with energy procurement strategies, decarbonization planning, and ESG reporting.
- Knowledge of industry‑specific energy challenges in healthcare, higher education, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with incentive and grant programs, renewable energy project financing, and carbon offset strategies.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities and proficiency in energy management software, CRM, and reporting tools.
Additional Considerations
- This role is highly visible, requiring direct interaction with C‑suite and senior leadership at client organizations.
- Travel may be required to client sites, conferences, and strategic planning sessions.
- The Strategic Account Director must be agile and adaptable in a fast‑paced, evolving regulatory and market environment.
