MINI Plant, Oxford - Energy and Environmental Management Intern - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)

We are looking for an internship to join the team for 13 months, starting July 2025. The team is responsible for interpreting and deploying BMW Group sustainability strategies as well as ensuring compliance to UK environmental regulations.

What awaits you?
  • Enhancing your understanding of environmental legislation in the manufacturing context.
  • Awareness of environmental topics, strategies for improvement and monitoring performance of key environmental topics.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to gather data and produce reports for compliance reporting.
  • Developing active communication initiatives to enhance the environmental awareness of all employees.
  • Manipulating data to enable effective display and analysis of environmental data.
  • Leveraging Power BI and other data visualization tools to develop advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Establishing targets and reporting data structures within the BMW cloud environment.
  • Engaging in cross-functional collaboration across UK manufacturing plants.
  • Supporting energy-related sustainability initiatives and projects.
Qualifications and experience
  • Studying towards a relevant course in the environmental field or business related degree and on course to achieve a 2:1 or above. Work experience can be particularly useful in areas such as: administration, building, business, construction, and engineering.
  • Awareness of environmental topics.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Confident decision making.
  • Time management and project management skills
  • IT skills preferred, particularly with experience of the MS Suite.
  • A practical, flexible and innovative approach to work with an ability to prioritise workload.
  • A full driving license may be required, if travelling between sites.
