A public safety organization is seeking an Energy and Carbon Reduction Support Officer in London. The role involves assisting with the strategic carbon reduction plan and administrative tasks for carbon net zero projects. We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front‑line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).
LFB has an interesting role available to assist with the delivery of the strategic carbon reduction plan. This post will provide and support to the carbon reduction team. They will be responsible for the programming of the LFB strategic carbon reduction programme. Preparation, management and reporting of the annual energy budget and carbon emissions. Act as the lead officer for ensuring administration of the LFB carbon net zero project and documentation of monthly monitoring meets. Provision of administration support to the Head of Carbon Reduction to liaise with the carbon net zero project of CRMP.
