Job summary

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for an Endoscopy support role to assist with patient admissions, procedures and post‑procedure care within a busy unit. You will gain a 6–12 month training package, including completing your care certificate, and be teamed with a buddy to mentor your development.

Within Endoscopy you will work with a supportive team, help monitor patient airways, maintain records and assist with discharges.

Job description

The job role would include being involved with patients admissions and discharges, along with assisting Endoscopists with procedures diagnostic and therapeutic. The job role comes with a full 6-12 month training package which includes completing your care certificate. You will be teamed up with a buddy who will mentor and assist you with your training throughout.Main duties of the job Within Endoscopy you will be working within a team who are will support you throughout your development with the department and encourage and support progression. Your job role will include but not inclusive too;

• Admission of patients

• Discharging patients
