Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy team at Kidderminster Treatment Centre for a 12-month maternity-cover contract.

The post offers opportunities to gain endoscopy experience, support from the Professional Development Team, and a chance to contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care across pre-assessment and endoscopy procedures, with potential for progression.

Applicants must be NMC-registered and flexible with shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse with NMC PIN.
• Experience as Endoscopy nurse.
• Knowledge of Cannulation and Gastroenterology or willingness to learn.
• Flexible to change in demands of service.
• Effective communicator both written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• To work across sites supporting the Endoscopy Directorate and in other departments as required.
• To rotate through admissions, recovery, discharge, pre-assessment and in procedure rooms.
• To provide specialist nursing care and support to all patients in Endoscopy.
• To act as endoscopy representative outside of the unit e.g. theatres / A&E.
• To ensure efficient scheduling of patients / procedures.
• To manage clinics, inform patients about waiting times, and support 7 days per week service development.
