Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a friendly and committed Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy Department on a fixed-term maternity cover. The post offers promotion opportunities, ongoing education, supervision, mentorship and support to develop your skills.

You will join a JAG-accredited department with three procedure rooms providing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including deep sedation, bronchoscopy and ERCP.

Qualifications

• Essential: Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional.
• Essential: Evidence of Continuous Personal development.
• Essential: Supervision, Mentoring, Teaching Qualification and/or experience.
• Desirable: Endoscopy knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support patients during procedures and recovery, including admission and discharge.
• Provide advice, guidance and health promotion to patients and carers.
• Work as a core member of the Endoscopy team in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality care.
• Contribute to the 7-day service with 08:00-18:30 shifts.
