Job summary

A leading banking organisation in Manchester is seeking an experienced Endevor Administrator to support and enhance their Mainframe source code management systems. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Endevor administration and a strong proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and REXX. You will be responsible for maintaining Endevor environments and ensuring robust deployment processes, along with providing technical support and user training. This role offers a daily rate of £350 and requires onsite presence two days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in Endevor administration or Mainframe support.
• Strong proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST.
• Knowledge of ACF2 or RACF security administration.
• Experience with Tivoli Storage Manager or similar backup tools.
• Familiarity with Cobol and JCL.
• Excellent problem-solving, automation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage version control and change management processes for Mainframe applications.
• Configure and maintain processor groups, element types, and Endevor exits.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and Endevor software configuration.
• Automate deployment, shipment, and archiving processes.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and backup procedures.
• Collaborate with release management for production deployments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry standards.
