Job summary

A respected family-owned manufacturing business in the UK is seeking an experienced Payroll and HR Officer to manage the payroll function. This role requires end to end payroll experience and a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation. The ideal candidate will thrive in an independent role while collaborating with HR and Finance. This is an excellent opportunity to influence payroll processes in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in end to end payroll.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
  • Confident working on payroll software and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee payrolls for weekly and monthly staff.
  • Ensure all payroll data is accurate and processed within agreed deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with HR on new starters, leavers and employee changes.
  • Support reconciliations, pension legislation and company policies.
  • Produce payroll reports, analysis and ad-hoc insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
