Job summary

Marie Curie is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Staffordshire and Stoke. You will help provide personalised, dignified end-of-life care at patients' homes, supporting personal care, nutrition, mobility and comfort while following care plans.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety, empathy and excellent communication with patients and their loved ones. A flexible, resilient approach and good IT skills are important.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in health or social care, with dignity and respect for patients.
• Understanding of person-centred care; palliative or end-of-life care preferred.
• Able to communicate sensitively and elevate concerns to the clinical team.
• Flexible, resilient, able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, mobility, and sleep.
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment and observe changes in condition.
• Support symptom management and refer concerns to registered professionals promptly.
• Provide calm, professional communication to patients and families.
