Out There - Supporting Families of Prisoners is recruiting a Wellbeing Support Worker to work with people on probation in Greater Manchester. You will deliver one-to-one and group coaching, develop pathways to services, and support rehabilitation and better outcomes within GM IRS.
You will collaborate with external organisations, maintain records, and operate within safeguarding and health and safety policies, with a fixed-term contract to September 2027.

To provide Wellbeing support for people on probation as part of the Greater Manchester Rehabilitation Services (GM IRS).To provide one-to-one and group coaching for people on probation in the locality, working with people that may have multiple and complex barriers to overcome them, supporting reduction in reoffending.
To develop pathways into the service and outward to local providers to specifically support the rehabilitation of this client group, including but not limited at:
1.To engage people that are on probation to support their wellbeing and Wellbeing priorities.
2.To engage and reconnect with service users that have dropped out of treatment.
3.To use a range of evidence-based tools and techniques for motivating clients.
4.To support individuals by helping to best meet their needs through collaboration with other organisations and community service providers
5.To work with groups of clients to help them rehabilitate and support behaviour change
6.To use the service’s computerised client management system to record and review service user’s records and any other required monitoring information.
7.To develop effective relationships with a range of external organisations and agencies, which reflect the diversity of the places we operate in.
8.To be committed to helping individuals develop their rehabilitation through peer support, family relationships, mutual aid and volunteering.
9.To maintain a good knowledge of the barriers that prevent rehabilitation and contribute towards continued learning
10. To ensure quality standards are adhered to and met and that audits are passed.
11. To ensure all statutory responsibilities are followed and reported as required.
12. To conduct a mapping exercise to identify existing support groups working with ‘at risk’ groups in the borough
13. To use feedback in all forms to enhance individual and service development
14. To assist case managers to reach out to troubled families and to consider the safeguarding of both adults and children.
15. To work in compliance with The Big Life group Lone Working policy.
16. To escape concerns to appropriate authorities (e.g. local authority, probation service, police) when service users have disengaged and increased risks are identified.
17. To utilise pathways which facilitate timely access to clinical psychology services within the treatment service where indicated.
18. To reach and engage with service users through understandable and meaningful language and behaviour.
