Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the Ethnic Minorities and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) to support Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and help children overcome barriers to learning.

You will work with schools, families and other professionals to provide tailored support, improve engagement and attendance, and share best practice across the service.

Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Recent experience supporting children in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of barriers facing vulnerable learners.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently across environments.
