Dundee City Council is seeking a committed Housing Policy professional to join their team on a two-year, full-time basis. The role is hybrid, working from home and 5 City Square, Dundee, with a 37-hour week and a temporary contract.
You will develop and implement policies to bring empty private sector homes back into residential use, applying housing legislation and project development experience. A full driving licence is required.

You will have CIH Diploma Level 4 OR HNC/HND in related subject, or equivalent.
You will establish, implement and develop policies & procedures which will bring empty properties in the private housing sector back into residential use across Dundee City Council.
You will have knowledge of building planning and housing legislation and procedures. You will have experience of project development work, directly with empty homes or in related areas such as regeneration, private sector housing or strategy and experience within housing, a similar public service or voluntary sector organisations. You will also have good communication, computer, IT/analytical, report writing and presentation skills. You will have the ability to deal with conflict and actively contributing new ideas and approaches. You will be willing to work varied and flexible hours as and when required, also be adaptable and willing to learn. A full, current driving licence is required.
