Job summary

Outwood Academy Acklam, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers, deliver tailored activities, and assist in monitoring student progress. The role covers SEND and EAL support, alongside developing individual plans and welfare assistance.

You will work within a vibrant 11-16 academy with strong values, contributing to a Safe and inclusive learning environment and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment or with children.
• Ability to support SEND and EAL students.
• Proficiency with ICT packages and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching by implementing planned learning activities.
• Monitor and record student progress, provide feedback.
• Assist with social and emotional well-being and with care tasks.
• Escort students on visits and invigilate exams.
