Job summary

South End Junior School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the learning of children. You will work with pupils on an individual, group or whole-class basis and assist the Phase Leader and SENDCo as required.

You will have experience in a school setting, with children who have special educational needs, and be able to support learners with their social and emotional needs. The role requires nurturing support and a commitment to safeguarding and welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school in a similar role.
• Experience of working with children with special educational needs.
• Support pupils in accessing learning activities within the classroom, in small groups or 1:1.
• Support pupils with their social and emotional needs.
• Support our teachers by providing feedback and maintaining records.
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities
