Job summary

MyNewTerm is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our school community. You will support students, teachers and the SEND team to provide learning, pastoral and emotional support, helping pupils develop confidence and resilience inside and outside the classroom.

The role involves working with the SENCO and other staff to monitor progress, promote inclusion and ensure a positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• Able to build positive relationships with young people.
• Capable of working with SEND and within SENCO-supported teams.

Responsibilities

• Support students with individual learning targets and intervention programmes.
• Provide pastoral support and help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Work alongside teachers to support teaching, learning and student progress.
• Assist with monitoring and assessing student progress.
• Contribute to nurture provision and support students with SEND.
• Assist with examination access arrangements where required.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion throughout the school.
