Job summary

Quantum Scholars are seeking a patient, supportive EOTAS Science Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to a secondary-aged learner in Minehead, Somerset. This in-person role focuses on academic progress and rebuilding confidence, with emphasis on adapting teaching to the learner's needs and promoting positive engagement with education.

Experience with SEND/SEMH, anxiety or disengagement is highly desirable, and a calm, nurturing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Science knowledge at secondary level.
• Experience teaching or tutoring Science.
• Experience working with secondary-aged learners with SEND/SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one Science tuition to a secondary-aged learner accessing EOTAS.
• Support GCSE Science and exam preparation where appropriate.
• Adapt lessons, resources and pace to meet individual needs.
• Monitor progress, engagement and development; feedback to carers and professionals.
