Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is working with a leading children's charity to recruit a Residential Support Worker for their Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. You will provide short-term placements for vulnerable children aged 8-18 within a supportive team.

We offer a competitive salary, 26+ days leave, flexible/hybrid working options, a pension scheme and opportunities for ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve within the required timeframe.
  • Motivation to create a safe space and support young people's emotional and social development.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence, wellbeing, and resilience among service users.
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to support the needs of children and young people.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Promoting a safe, supportive environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
