Job summary

A support organization in Lisburn is seeking an Accommodation and Community Support Worker to provide effective 24-hour support to clients in various services. Responsibilities include promoting independence, evaluating needs, creating support plans, and acting as an advocate. Candidates should demonstrate core values, IT proficiency, and possess or pursue a Social Work degree. The role offers a salary between £23,355 and £24,832 per annum with a commitment of three 12.5-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate core values.
  • Proficient with IT skills including email and databases.
  • Willingness to undergo NISCC registration and Access NI checks.
  • Recent experience supporting people with complex needs.
  • Experience in identifying support needs and risks.
  • Degree in Social Work or current study towards it.

Responsibilities

  • Promote independence through support and development.
  • Provide advice and support to service users.
  • Assess needs and risk for intervention.
  • Develop outcome-based support plans.
  • Liaise with external agencies for service integration.
  • Act as an advocate for clients.
