Job summary

Bell Cornwall Recruitment are seeking an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate to join a busy employment law team. The role is largely remote with occasional office attendance and UK-wide hearings.

You will defend tribunal claims, manage your own caseload from instruction to hearing, and represent clients at online hearings with travel to in-person hearings as required. Strong advocacy and employment law knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister; advocacy experience in Employment Tribunal preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedures.
• Ability to represent clients independently at hearings.

Responsibilities

• Defend Employment Tribunal claims for clients, managing your own caseload from instruction to hearing.
• Represent clients at hearings, online and nationwide travel as required.
• Provide clear, practical advocacy and guidance throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with the employment law team to maintain high standards of client service.

Bell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a busy and growing employment law team to recruit an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled advocate to take ownership of a varied caseload, defending tribunal claims on behalf of the firm's clients and representing them at hearings across the country.

The Role

• Defend Employment Tribunal claims on behalf of clients, managing your own caseload from instruction through to hearing
• Represent clients at full hearings, the majority of which are conducted online, with occasional travel to hearings throughout the UK where required
• Provide clear, practical advocacy and advice throughout the litigation process
• Work closely with the wider employment law team to deliver a consistently high standard of client service

About You

• Qualified as a solicitor or barrister is preferred; however, applications are also welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate the necessary advocacy skills and employment tribunal experience without formal qualification
• Proven advocacy experience, ideally within an Employment Tribunal setting
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedure
• Confident, articulate, and comfortable representing clients independently at hearings
• Well organised, with the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload

The Package

• Largely remote working
• Candidates within commuting distance will be asked to attend the office once a week; those further afield once a month
• Occasional travel to hearings nationwide (expenses covered)
