Job summary

A charity organization in the Southeast is seeking an employment specialist to build partnerships with employers. The successful candidate will create employment opportunities, facilitate work placements, and provide support for clients. Responsibilities include engaging proactively with employers and addressing barriers to employment. The contract is 3 months temporary with a high likelihood of becoming permanent and requires 37 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday.

• Experience of working with a range of employers to satisfy their recruitment needs.

Job description

We are currently working with a Substance Misuse charity in the Southeast of London to bring in an employment specialist that will build partnerships with employers to identify a sustained pipeline of job opportunities and to understand local employer needs to bring on board new employment opportunities for people on our programmes.

Length of Contract: 3 months temporary | High Likelihood of being made permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Rate: DOE

Location: Southeast London

DBS: Enhanced Adults issued within the last 3 years or on update service

Key responsibilities:

• Create employment opportunities for the clients through proactive engagement with a network of potential employers
• Facilitate work placements, work trials and work experience with relevant employers
• Provide appropriate in-work support to clients who have secured employment
• Work with our Employment Coaches to identify job ready clients and facilitate swift access to local employers
• Build and maintain an appropriate knowledge of the skills needs of employers, and contribute to monitoring any changes within the labour market
• Liaise with clients and employers to ensure barriers to sustained employment are addressed

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of working successfully within a sales or recruitment environment
• Experience of working with a range of employers to satisfy their recruitment needs
