Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to support a client in the Industrials & Advanced Manufacturing sector. The role is based near Warrington on a hybrid basis, circa 2–3 days per week, with flexible part-time or full-time options for a 6–9 month assignment.

You will provide day-to-day advisory on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence, and general employee relations, plus manage international secondments and staff moves including

• Ability to attend the Warrington site for circa 2 days per week.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification in the UK, Ireland, or another relevant jurisdiction.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to support our client in the Industrials & Advanced Manufacturing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer with employment law and employee relations experience to work with a hands-on team, where you will be expected to provide day-to-day advice on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence, and general employee relations matters as well as manage and advise on international secondment programmes and staff moves including project work relating to work permits/immigration.

The role is based near Warrington on a hybrid basis circa 2 – 3 days per week, and our client is open to considering applications from people who can commit to both part time and full time. The role is expected to last from 6 – 9 months.

Strong applicants will have:

• Strong practical experience of Employment Law and Employee Relations, ideally gained in-house, in professional services, or in a consultancy environment.
• Hands on experience handling GDPR/data protection in an employment context (including DSAR handling and process improvements)
• Ability to attend their site near Warrington site for circa 2 days per week.
• A minimum of 5 years post-qualification in the UK, Ireland, or another relevant jurisdiction.
• Availability to start at short notice (within two weeks)
