A local authority based in London is seeking an Employment Lawyer for an initial period of three months.
The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to provide legal advice on a range of employment matters and legal representation in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.
You will provide both contentious and non-contentious advice for the local authority, community schools, academies, and partner organisations. You will have previous experience dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues, unfair dismissal, discrimination, and equality, drafting of employment contracts, equal pay, redundancy, and TUPE matters.
Previous local government experience is highly advantageous.
To be considered for the role, candidates will need to be available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. You must also have a current practising certificate.
