Job description

We are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join our team in Leeds city centre.

This hybrid role allows for three days in the office and two days working from home, following the completion of the probationary period. The position involves managing a caseload of employment matters and advising clients on settlement agreements, all under the guidance of a Partner.

Ideal candidates will be Employment Solicitors with NQ–3 years PQE, experience in employment claimant work, and a solid understanding of the employment tribunal process.

The successful candidate will be organised, detail‑oriented, and efficient, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining excellent client care standards. They should also be friendly, professional, and capable of clearly communicating technical legal details both verbally and in writing.

KEY TASKS:
  • Managing a caseload of client matters under supervision.
  • Handling cases at all stages, from initial instructions to archiving, following office and accounts procedures.
  • Preparing and organising file documentation.
  • Billing files and collecting payments from clients and other parties.
  • Responding to client inquiries.
  • Supporting other fee earners in the Employment department.
  • Advising on settlement agreement terms and their implications.
