Fedcap UK is seeking an Employment Facilitator/Trainer to support young people in Sussex to build confidence, skills and resilience for sustainable employment. You will design engaging group sessions and provide tailored one-to-one coaching, helping participants explore strengths, set goals and progress toward employment.
Working with Job Brokers, employers and local services, you’ll help learners prepare for sector tasters and connect them with learning, wellbeing and support services.
Location: Sussex (Brighton to Chichester)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: £29,291
Contract: Full-time, permanent, home-based with regular travel and outreach across Sussex
We’re looking for an Employment Facilitator/Trainer, supporting young people to build the confidence, skills and resilience they need to move closer to and into sustainable employment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping young people understand their strengths, overcome barriers and develop the practical skills they need for the world of work. You’ll combine engaging group learning with tailored one-to-one support, helping participants develop everything from communication and teamwork to digital skills, job searching and interview confidence.
Working closely with Job Brokers, employers and local support services, you’ll help create a joined-up journey for every participant — including preparing young people for employer-led sector tasters and connecting them with the right learning, wellbeing and specialist support.
If you’re someone who enjoys helping people grow in confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards their future, this could be the role for you.
We’re interested in people who can engage and motivate young people, build confidence and genuinely want to help people overcome barriers and succeed.
You’ll ideally have experience in employability, youth work, education, careers, coaching, training, learning or another role supporting people to develop their skills and progress towards employment.
Experience of youth employment, welfare-to-work, employability, education, skills, careers or community programmes would be valuable, as would experience supporting young people with childcare or caring responsibilities, wellbeing needs or other barriers to employment.
At Fedcap UK, we’re a mission-led, not-for-profit organisation focused on improving people’s economic mobility.
As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference every day — helping people take steps towards employment while building lasting relationships with employers in your community.
At Fedcap, we’re proud to offer a comprehensive and rewarding benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, development and work-life balance:
