About the Role

Are you motivated by helping people change their lives for the better? We’re looking for an Employment Coach to join the Restart Programme in Blackpool. You’ll work closely with individuals who are out of work, helping them build confidence, develop skills and take positive steps towards lasting employment.

This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same – you’ll be supporting people from all walks of life, finding out what’s holding them back and putting together a clear plan to help them move forward.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage your own caseload and meet all participants face‑to‑face in the centre.
  • Carry out detailed assessments to understand each person’s barriers, skills and training needs.
  • Refer participants to the right support – whether that’s training, workshops or mentoring – to help them gain confidence and new skills.
  • Set clear, achievable goals (SMART targets) and regularly review progress to keep people on track towards employment.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience supporting unemployed people, ideally within employability, welfare‑to‑work or a similar advisory role.
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload and meeting job entry targets.
  • Strong communication and motivational skills, with the ability to build trust and adapt your approach to each individual.
  • Empathy, resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
  • Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if successful in this role.
