Optalis is the adult social care delivery partner on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council. Optalis is owned and funded by the 2 Councils. Optalis is not a private provider or an employment agency.

Employment Coach - Support Employment Service - Wokingham

29.6 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

FTE £ 27,804.61 p.a.

Do you have the skills, commitment and passion to enable individuals to achieve sustainable employment and realise their aspirations? We are seeking a motivated, organised and proactive Employment Coach to join our high-performing team, supporting individuals covered under the Equality Act 2010, including unpaid carers, to access meaningful and lasting employment opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with clients to identify their skills, strengths and career aspirations.
  • Developing tailored employment pathways and supporting clients to secure and sustain suitable roles.
  • Providing practical support, such as interview preparation, travel training, and confidence‑building activities.
  • On the job coaching, training clients in their workplace to independence.
  • Engaging with a broad network of local and national employers to create new and impactful employment opportunities.
  • Promoting inclusive workplace practices and advocating for positive change.
Requirements
  • Professional, empathetic and highly organised.
  • Ability to build strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and employers.
  • Driven to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
  • Holds a full driving licence and has daily access to a vehicle.
