Employment Associate / Senior Associate – Bristol – 4+ Years PQE

Location: Bristol

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 (depending on experience)

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a diverse caseload and supporting clients across sectors including local and central government, health, commercial services, housing, higher education, and financial services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing contentious and non contentious employment matters
  • Advising on restructures and redundancy processes
  • Handling employee relations issues, including settlement negotiations
  • Managing complex litigation and advocacy work
  • Advising on TUPE, including drafting/negotiating warranties and indemnities
  • Supporting corporate and commercial transactions with employment due diligence
  • Drafting and reviewing employment policies
  • Delivering training and contributing to business development
  • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 4+ years PQE in employment law
  • Broad employment experience across one or more of the firm’s key markets
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence in managing complex matters independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in client relationship management and business development
