This London firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join a broad practice advising businesses and senior individuals across contentious, advisory and transactional employment matters.
You will handle Employment Tribunal and High Court matters, senior exits, covenants, investigations, reorganisations and cross-border projects, with opportunities to work on corporate transactions and develop client relationships.
Employment Associate | Broad Contentious & Advisory Practice | Leading London Firm
If you’re an Employment Solicitor looking for a genuinely broad practice, this is an opportunity to join a highly regarded London firm advising businesses and senior individuals across complex contentious, advisory and transactional employment matters.
The role goes considerably beyond day-to-day employment advisory work. You’ll have exposure to Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation, senior exits, restrictive covenants, workplace investigations, reorganisations and cross-border workforce projects, alongside employment support on corporate transactions.
The Firm
This is a Top 60 UK law firm with almost 200 lawyers based from a single London office, combining a significant business law practice with a substantial private wealth offering.
The firm advises major corporates and institutions alongside entrepreneurial businesses, privately and family-owned companies and private equity-backed organisations. Its structure provides the breadth of expertise associated with a larger commercial firm while retaining a more personal and collaborative working environment.
The culture is pragmatic and non-hierarchical, with lawyers encouraged to take responsibility for client relationships, develop their own profile and play an active role in the continued development of their practice.
The Role
You will join an established Employment team advising on a broad mix of contentious, non-contentious, strategic and advisory employment matters. The client base spans sectors including retail, leisure, professional services, financial services, art and culture, and media and technology, including businesses with an international reach.
Your work will include complex Employment Tribunal claims, discrimination and whistleblowing matters, disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancies and reorganisations, senior-level exits, restrictive covenants and post-termination restrictions, workplace investigations and employment contracts and policies.
There is also more specialist work available, including High Court employment disputes and injunctions, financial services employment matters, cross-jurisdictional workforce projects and partnership and LLP disputes.
You will also work closely with the firm's Corporate team on the employment aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, transactional documentation, employee liabilities, benefits and incentive arrangements.
The role offers the opportunity to manage your own matters and develop direct client relationships while working closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider firm. You will also contribute to business development, profile raising and the development of more junior lawyers.
