Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking an enthusiastic Employment Advisor to support young people aged 18-24 across South Yorkshire. The role focuses on tailored employability support, helping clients overcome barriers and progress to sustainable work, through 1:1 coaching, group sessions and strong links with employers.

You will deliver inductions, CV and interview support, manage action plans, and maintain compliant records while working to targets. DBS check will be required if offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in employability, employment and skills, recruitment, sales or similar customer-facing environment.
• Experience supporting individuals one-to-one and facilitating group sessions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, administration and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work towards targets and KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT skills including databases, spreadsheets, email and diary management.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of local labour market, recruitment processes and employment support services.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and professional with a passion for helping people achieve employment goals.

Responsibilities

Employment Advisor Across South Yorkshire Up to £29,000 Full Time, Permanent

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Employment Advisor to support young people aged 18-24 into employment through a government-funded employability programme. This rewarding role involves providing tailored employment support, helping individuals overcome barriers to work, and guiding them towards sustainable employment opportunities. Working with a range of stakeholders including employers, training providers and referral partners, you will deliver high-quality support that improves outcomes for participants and helps them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.

The role involves:

• Delivering one-to-one and group employability support, including assessments, inductions and employability workshops.
• Supporting individuals to overcome barriers to employment, education and training through personalised action plans.
• Assisting customers with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation and job search activities.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with employers, referral partners, training providers and external agencies.
• Monitoring progress and providing ongoing support through face-to-face meetings, telephone, email and text communication.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring compliance with organisational procedures, safeguarding requirements and data protection regulations.
• Supporting customers to access training and development opportunities that improve employability outcomes.
• Working towards performance targets and delivering high-quality customer-focused support.

You'll need:

• Experience within employability, employment and skills, recruitment, sales or a similar customer-focused environment.
• Experience supporting individuals on a one-to-one basis and facilitating group sessions.
