Job summary

A social purpose organization in Birmingham seeks an enthusiastic Employment Coach to deliver vital employment support for individuals facing barriers due to mental health issues. This role involves working closely with NHS clinicians and assisting a caseload of 25 participants, helping them achieve their employment-related goals. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in supporting people to maintain or regain employment and in meeting set performance targets. This full-time position offers a salary range of £28,407 to £34,037.

Job description

We have an amazing opportunity for an Employment Coach who has a passion for mental health. Our client is a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

You will be delivering employment support to participants in parallel to the health treatments being delivered by NHS clinicians which is embedded with Primary Care, Community Health Teams, and the wider community. Working intensively with a maximum active caseload of 25 participants who have a health condition which impacts on their ability to gain work or stay in work, you will assist them to obtain and sustain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals, following the eight principles of Individual Placement and Support (IPS). Meeting and exceeding performance targets for referrals, programme starts, employer engagement, job starts and sustainment, in compliance with contractual guidelines and quality procedures.

Location: Birmingham / Solihull

Salary: Full Time and Permanent - £28,407 - £34,037
