Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Birmingham is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to lead employment engagement for our learners with learning disabilities and/or Autism. The role focuses on securing work placements and negotiating paid employment for our supported interns, with support from a Skills Coach.

You will build strong relationships with employers across sectors and monitor placement progress to help learners move into paid work. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) permanent.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Problem solving and IT literacy required.
• Employer engagement and marketing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead employment engagement for learners and secure work placements.
• Build strong relationships with employers across sectors to secure paid placements.
• Oversee interns' progress with a Skills Coach to move learners into paid work.
