Overview

The Employee Relations Specialist serves as a key resource for fostering positive employee relations and ensuring that all workplace issues are addressed in a fair, equitable, and consistent manner. This role involves managing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and working to resolve conflicts while promoting a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues, grievances, and disputes.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts between employees or between employees and management through mediation, counseling, and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are communicated effectively and adhered to, including those related to employee conduct, performance, and ethics.
  • Assist in creating and updating employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Educate employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for employees and managers on topics such as conflict resolution, communication skills, and employee rights.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on handling employee issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Stay current on labor laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the company's policies and practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of investigations, resolutions, and disciplinary actions in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Generate reports on employee relations issues, trends, and resolutions for management review.
  • Analyze data related to employee relations issues to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or HR certification (such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, or a related field with a strong background in conflict resolution and policy enforcement.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and best practices in employee relations, specifically in the EMEA region.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in English in a business environment.
