Summary

Meta is seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Manager to join our organization. As the ideal candidate, you will contribute with both hands‑on and strategic support of our people managers through performance management and workplace conflict issues to cultivate an innovative, high‑performing, and collaborative work environment. You will have effective leadership skills, ability to assess different types of risk, and bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organisation. You should also have proven experience leading, growing, and scaling experienced HR professionals.

Required Skills

Employee Relations Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of Employee Relations Partners who work across multiple jurisdictions and business groups to assist employees and managers in performance management, resolving issues and grievances
  2. Provide strategic Employee Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization
  3. Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
  4. Triage employee relations casework, identify potential solutions to address different case types and actions appropriately using guidelines
  5. Provide rigorous data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to actively drive proactive solutions to minimize reactive work
  6. Help balance risk, taking into account employee, business and company perspectives
  7. Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the HR Business Partner, Legal, Investigations, Industrial Relations and HR Programs teams to implement solutions and help scale the business
  8. Partner closely with regional HR partners on global strategy and execution
  9. Plan, execute, and evaluate complex assignments that have an impact in region or with the clients supported
  10. Participate and lead projects as an integral member of the extended HR community and influence others within the organization
  11. Build collaborative and productive working relationships
  12. Lead with integrity, respect, high personal standards and build personal credibility
  13. Builds internal community (e.g., supports others, shows respect, onboards new hires, connects people, collaborates well)
  14. Actively involved in interviewing and onboarding new employees
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 12+ years of experience in Employee Relations and/or HR Business Partner roles
  2. 3+ years of experience managing HR/ER professionals
  3. Experience across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA and with Works Council presence
  4. Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  5. Effective communication and critical thinking skills
  6. Demonstrates empathy and experience driving collaborative work
  7. Demonstrates project management and change management experience
  8. Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and cultivating relationships across teams
  9. Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
  10. Experience helping global and/or matrixed organizations scale
  11. Demonstrated experience in influencing and strategically solving problems
  12. Consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
  13. Proven experience leading, growing, and scaling experienced HR professionals
