Qualifications

Responsibilities

Are you an Employee Relations expert who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? Are you passionate about guiding managers through challenging situations, spotting trends, and making a genuine impact? If that sounds like you - keep reading. This fixed term contract until October 26 could be the role you've been waiting for.

Reporting into the ER Team Leader, you'll join a friendly and highly capable team of 6 ER Consultants based in our Leeds office. Together, we support line managers across the business on all aspects of employee relations - from conduct and capability, to grievances, absence management and everything in between.

With 70-90 cases on your books at any one time, you'll be comfortable juggling priorities, managing risk, and providing pragmatic, legally sound advice - all while keeping a cool head and a human touch.

Responsibilities
  • Providing first line assistance to line managers on ER issues
  • Managing high volume caseloads and keeping accurate records
  • Resolving complex issues in a practical and commercial manner
  • Identifying higher risk cases and flagging them to your manager in a timely manner
  • Using performance management metrics to spot trends and present data
  • Clear and concise communication
  • Working in a team and helping to create a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications

  • Have good knowledge of Employment Law, and experience of a wide range of Employee Relations work.
  • Have Case Management experience including: Conduct and Capability, Long Term Sick and Grievances
  • Be proficient with IT and be comfortable working across different HR systems
  • Have an understanding of Retail environments, experience of providing advice to Retail managers, and a CIPD qualification, although these are not essential
