Job summary

MLC Partners is recruiting an Employee & Industrial Relations Manager to lead its ER/IR agenda within a highly regulated and unionised healthcare context across the UK. You will develop strategies, strengthen trade union relationships and guide a four-strong HR Advisers team.

The role requires deep employment law knowledge, extensive collective bargaining experience and credibility to engage with senior stakeholders and trade union representatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working in a heavily unionised environment.
• Direct experience of collective bargaining, consultation and dispute resolution.
• A strong background in complex employee relations.
• Previous people management experience.
• Strong employment law knowledge.

Employee & Industrial Relations Manager

Salary: up to £80,000

Reporting to: Head of HR

MLC Partners are recruiting an Employee & Industrial Relations Manager for a leading healthcare organisation providing highly specialised pathology and clinical laboratory services to clinicians, hospitals and community healthcare providers across the UK.

Operating within a complex, highly regulated and heavily unionised environment, the organisation is looking for an experienced ER/IR professional to lead its employee relations agenda, strengthen trade union relationships and manage a team of four HR Advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trade union engagement, negotiation and formal consultation
• Develop a more proactive and effective industrial relations strategy
• Manage and develop a team of four HR Advisers
• Oversee a high-volume and complex ER caseload

About you

You will have:

Experience within healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, the NHS, public sector or another complex and regulated environment would be advantageous.
