Large commercial law firm in London seek two Employee Incentives/Share Schemes lawyers – one of 0 to 1 and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team represents leading UK and global private and listed companies in all of their needs in this area (including cross-border schemes), whether executive-level incentives or company-wide employee schemes. It also regularly handles the incentives aspects of IPOs, M&A and group restructurings. They have also advised on the establishment of a significant number of Employee Ownership Trusts. They advise on all aspects of employee incentive plans, including the design, implementation and communication of senior executive and employee incentive plans, the establishment and operation of employee benefit trusts (to support share plans and as wealth creation vehicles), executive tax planning (including those who are mobile internationally), as well as corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters. Most of our work is standalone advisory work but a significant aspect of the work is transactional based, and all the team gets involved in both aspects. In addition, they work closely with tax, employment and corporate colleagues when required.
The successful candidates will gain experience across a wide range of matters and predominantly work with fast-growing owner-managed companies as well as venture capital and private equity backed companies. They also advise a number of main market and AIM listed companies on their equity incentives. You will be joining a successful practice with a very strong collegiate and supportive culture, which makes it a rewarding place to work. The team benefits from an excellent training programme as there is a strong commitment to individuals' career development and weekly know-how meetings ensures team members are technically excellent and enjoy a healthy team-working environment.
If you are already qualified, you will have at least some Employee Incentives experience either as a specialist Incentives lawyer or as part of an overall mix of work as a Corporate Tax lawyer. Newly-qualified applicants will have undertaken a seat in either Employee Incentives/ Share Schemes and/or Corporate Tax.
