Compass Barnsley is seeking an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to support children and young people with mild to moderate emotional health needs. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, work with families, schools and partners, and travel across community and educational settings to ensure timely access to the right support.

As anEmotional Wellbeing Practitioner within our amazing Barnsley Service, you’ll work directly with children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional health and wellbeing difficulties,helping them build confidence, resilience and healthier ways to copewith life’s challenges.
No two days look the same.One day you might be supporting a young person one to one in a school , the next delivering a group session in the community,speaking with parents, orhelping professionals better understand the emotional wellbeing needs of the young people they support.
You’ll hold a varied caseloadand deliver evidence based interventions that genuinely make a difference. You’ll work alongside families, schools and partner agenciesto make sure young peopleget the right support at the right time, including helping them access more specialist services where needed.
You’ll join a supportive, values led teamthat cares deeply about children, young people and each other, wherecollaboration, trust and new ideas are genuinely encouraged.

You know that emotional wellbeing support is about more than ticking boxes. It’s about helping young people feel safe enough to open up, understood enough to trust you, and supported enough to believe things can improve.
You’ll need:
Experience within healthcare, education or multi agency settings, along with training in areas such as trauma informed practice or Youth Mental Health First Aid, would be welcomed, but aren't dealbreakers.
