Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to supervise EMHPs within CAMHS and to lead Whole School/College approaches. The role requires CBT delivery, supervision of trainees, and travel between schools with a personal vehicle.

The post sits in the RISE Early Help Service, within the Mental Health in Schools Team, expanding to cover more settings and improve child and adolescent mental health care in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

Senior Mental Health Practitioner (Senior EMHP / CWP) - Band 6
Full time, Permanent role

We have an exciting, innovative and unique role within our RISE Early Help Service. The role will be based within our Mental Health in Schools Team which sits within CAMHS. The service has multiple Mental Health in Schools Teams across Coventry and Warwickshire and is currently undergoing expansion to roles and service offers.

We are seeking an Educational Mental Health Practitioner / Children's Wellbeing Practitioner who has already taken the next step in their career by becoming a supervisor. Applicants must be registered with a governing body (BABCP / BPS), be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle for business use.

We require an individual who is passionate about working with children and young people, families, education staff and the wider school community to provide evidence-based and innovative support for emotional wellbeing and mental health.

To work within The Mental Health in Schools Team, offering full comprehensive assessments and intervention in a range of settings and evaluate the mental health care to children, young people and their families in line with local and national guidelines.

To provide regular and on-going consultation, joint work, training and advice to schools and other agency staff in relation to child and adolescent mental health to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

To manage a caseload of young people, who require CBT interventions & supporting low intensity practitioners (EMHPs) with the delivery of low intensity CBT interventions.

To provide clinical supervision to Education Mental Health Practitioners and trainee's this may include individual, group or Whole School and College approach supervision.

To take a lead in Whole School and College Approach; for example linking in with schools who are struggling to engage and supporting the EMHP allocated to that school.

To support EMHP’s in improving the delivery of Whole school approach, for example modelling the delivery of workshops or engaging in whole school self assessments.

Travel between schools is fundamental and so having access to your own car/vehicle is essential.
