slihrms is seeking Assistant Project Managers to support highways and local transport projects across their full lifecycle. In Glasgow and Edinburgh you will work with multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to civil and structural design, scheduling, and budget management while progressing through early project management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering (BEng/MEng/MSc) required or equivalent.
• Active progress toward CEng or IEng with ICE preferred.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and standards (DMRB/Manual for Streets).
• Experience in report preparation and technical package creation (BOQ, specs, drawings).
• Ability to resolve engineering problems and work to deadlines and budgets.
• Experience with site supervision of highway schemes.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of highways/local transport projects to scope, programme, budget and quality.
• Maintain project controls: schedules, action trackers, risk registers, cost data and reports.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Prepare progress updates, meeting records and client-facing documentation.
• Monitor delivery performance and help implement corrective actions.
• Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
