Job description
Overview

The post of a qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner is characterised by six principal role functions: clinical practice, advanced clinical skills, professional leadership and management, education and training, evaluation of care and research, and human resources. You will be based predominantly at St Helier Hospital with rotational working cross‑site.

Responsibilities
  • Account for the total episode of care for patients presenting with a varying range of minor injuries and minor illnesses.
  • Carry out assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing referral or discharge.
  • Display evidence of a commitment to quality improvement within Emergency Care.
Qualifications
  • Proven specialist knowledge and skills as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner at band 7.
  • Excellent communication skills and good organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude, flexible approach to working and commitment to the Trust’s clinical quality indicators.
