Emergency Home Responder at Progress Lifeline

Role Description

As an Emergency Home Responder you will be at the heart of providing critical support to our customers when they need it most. Whether you are assessing an emergency situation or offering reassurance and comfort, your role will be dynamic and hands‑on. At all times you must offer reassurance and make our customers as comfortable as possible.

Working from home you will be on call for the duration of your shift and attend emergency calls in the Gloucestershire area when directed by our Control Centre.

We provide comprehensive training in all aspects of the role, including moving and handling of customers who have fallen, performing risk assessments, First Aid and the use of all equipment.

What We Offer
  • Flexible permanent working patterns – 7 shifts on call followed by either 7 shifts or 14 shifts rest period
  • Day or night shifts on call between 06:00 and 18:00 or 18:00 and 06:00
  • Preferred working patterns will be discussed at interview to support a healthy work‑life balance
  • A daily standby payment of £26.22 when on shift with an additional call‑out payment of £18.90 per hour for the first 90 minutes, then £12.97 per hour if the call‑out exceeds 90 minutes
  • Mileage allowance of £0.45 per mile
