Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a staff nurse for the Emergency Department at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The role covers Majors Assessment, Ambulatory Care, Rapid Assessment Unit and RESUS, with a 4-hour target and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure efficient patient care.

You will work within the NMC code, act as a mentor, and participate in competency programmes across the ED. Comprehensive induction supports your development and progression within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Evidence of CPD in relevant specialty.
• Evidence of Level 3 studies.
• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Qualified to mentor pre registration students.
• D32/33 or A1 modules.
• Appropriate management or leadership courses.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise, assess, plan, evaluate and deliver care to high standard.
• Mentor/precept junior staff and supervise pre-registration students.
• Engage in structured competency-based programmes across ED areas.
