A regional healthcare provider in Stevenage is seeking Emergency Care Assistants to join their team, supporting essential care in various medical units. The role includes structured training in clinical competencies and maintaining a safe, high-quality care environment. Ideal candidates will possess motivation and excellent clinical skills. We are seeking motivated Emergency Care Assistants to join our Acute Medical Services team, supporting the delivery of exceptional care across the Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), and the Short Stay Unit (SSU).
This position offers a structured training programme designed to equip you with essential clinical competencies, including baseline observations, ECG recording, cardiac monitoring, venepuncture, cannulation, and basic life support. You will also gain experience in wound care and closure techniques, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and assisting patients with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and comfort.
Working alongside the nursing team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and high-quality care environment. You’ll also become familiar with the layout and operation of medical equipment and uphold best practices in health and safety at all times.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a virtual information and guidance session on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, at 12:00 p.m. It will provide detailed information about the role, interview preparation tips, an overview of the assessment day, and a clear explanation of the overall recruitment process.
Following this, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Math and English assessment on Monday, 17th November 2025. Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will be invited to attend an interview on Tuesday, 25th November 2025 (note that this date may be subject to change depending on clinical availability).
